Cherry Mobile Flare

November 17, 2012, Cherry Mobile releases a new model of smartphone which turns out to be the cheapest the best value in it's kind. It's their Cherry Mobile FLARE. I did not have the chance to buy that day due to some reason but I saw in the news that it became a craze in town to have this phone due to its very nice features in a low low price of  Php 3,999.. Most of the Brands available in the market on those time in the same class with similar specs and price ranges between 6,000-9,000, maybe that's the big reason many saw Flare to have the best offer in town.

I previously owned an Android phone and have the luck to purchase one Cherry Mobile Flare after selling online my Samsung Galaxy Y last December 7, 2012. it was just a sort of trade off, 'coz I immediately timely purchased one unit of Flare at Cubao Farmers. still now from the making of this blog. enjoying in using it as my primary phone.

More phone and tablet models from Cherry mobile comes with nice features but very affordable too, maybe you can visit their CM kiosk or order in some Online Stores that sells a lot of model of smartphones with brands and model fits to you and deliver it right to your home.

How To Upgrade your Flare Firmware

Here’s the software update for your Cherry Mobile android FLARE that some probably been looking for. This update strictly for the S-100 Flare, this will be fix the inaccurate G-sensor, add the missing FM Radio app, and allows auto-rotate for SMS.

First thing to do is download Sofwate Update

Download Update Link:

Instructions (from Cherry Moble Site): 

1. Save the update file to the root of the SD card. Turn off the phone.  Make sure phone is charged atleast 15%.
2. Press and hold Power+volume Up for a few seconds. It will display first a green screen.
3. Release the button after the screen shows a red display to show the Android sytem revocery.
4. Select apply update from external storage' and select the update file. Use volume keys to select and power key to confirm.
5. The phone will update. After update is finish, select reboot system now.


Note: SD Card update will not erase multimedia files like photos. It will just erase saved application. It is also advisable to do Factory data reset after doing SD card update.
